“No man is an island, entire of itself.” True to this English proverb, the continued success of this industry must be predicated on the commitment of all of us to work towards bolstering the growth of the industry at large, as it will benefit all of us holistically.
It is on this very premise that we have been steadfast in hosting the much anticipated event in the industry calendar, the Annual Palm & Lauric Oils Conference & Exhibition: Price Outlook 2010/2011. This year’s event marks the 21st consecutive year of our flagship conference tailored exclusively for producers, consumers, dealers, traders, investors, financiers and relevant key players of the global edible oil industry.
With more than two decades under its belt, I am pleased to note that this conference continues to grow in terms of participation and stature, which is a demonstration of its continued relevance to the global industry. It has become the ideal platform for participants to gain invaluable insights on the outlook of crude palm oil (CPO) prices from the many renowned industry experts and opinion leaders.
Furthermore, this conference is also an excellent opportunity for industry participants to come together, compare notes, exchange ideas and strengthen the community. By building a strong and cohesive network, I am certain that the global edible oil industry will continue to rise to greater heights of achievements.
On our part, we will continue to work towards internationalising our products to meet global market needs. We remain committed towards promoting CPO futures contracts and solidifying our role as the price discovery centre for CPO.
